Play Yam Yam (Japan) Online
You control a squishy blob that sucks up enemies, then spits them out to solve puzzles—mess up and watch your guy explode into adorable chunks. The cheerful SNES soundtrack almost makes up for how tricky those later mazes get.

Yam Yam (Japan) is one of those weird little SNES games that somehow makes eating enemies and spitting them back out feel oddly satisfying. You play as this round, wobbly thing—sort of like if a gummy bear and a vacuum cleaner had a baby—and your job is to clear maze-like levels by swallowing bad guys, then using them as keys, projectiles, or even makeshift bridges. Mess up, and you’ll watch your poor blob explode into tiny pieces (which is weirdly cute).
The music’s got that classic ‘90s SNES cheeriness, and the puzzles start simple but get devious fast. I kept getting stuck on stages where I’d realize too late that I should’ve saved a specific enemy to trigger a switch. Never got an official US release, which is a shame—it’s like someone took the best parts of a puzzle game and a platformer and mashed them together with neon colors. If you dig obscure Japanese imports, this one’s a blast.
