Yoshi Topsy-Turvy came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2005, developed by Nintendo. It was part of that experimental phase on the GBA where developers tried new things with hardware, like motion controls before they became standard. You control Yoshi, moving through side scrolling levels, eating enemies and tossing eggs. The main goal is to rescue Baby Bowser from a curse, but the real draw is the motion based gameplay. Tilting the system left or right shifts platforms, tilting forward or back flips the entire screen upside down, changing how you navigate. It makes basic platforming feel fresh, though sometimes the controls can be imprecise. The pacing is moderate, with puzzles that rely on timing and careful movement. Playing it feels like solving a physical puzzle with your hands as much as with the buttons.
