Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 8 (Cezar) (J) is one of those GBA card games that feels a bit rough around the edges but still pulls you in. The first duel starts simple, just summoning a few monsters and setting traps, but by the third match you're already digging through your deck trying to find combos.
I remember losing to some random NPC because I didn't realize how their spell card worked. The game doesn't always explain things clearly, so you end up learning the hard way. The card art still looks decent on the small screen though, even if some effects are hard to track.
It's not the deepest Yu-Gi-Oh! game out there, but if you're into old-school dueling with that early 2000s card pool, it's a decent time. Just expect to lose a few matches before your deck clicks.
