Play Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Duel Academy (U)(Independent) Online
Pick your dorm, skip class to duel in the halls, and pray your janky homemade deck doesn’t get stomped by some Obelisk Blue tryhard. The pixel art’s crisp, and yeah, you’ll recognize those anime voices mid-battle.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Duel Academy came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2005, developed and published by Konami. It was part of that wave of late GBA titles that tried to squeeze a little more out of the hardware before the DS took over, offering a surprisingly full RPG take on the dueling card game.
You play as a new student at Duel Academy, navigating the school grounds screen by screen, talking to other students, and challenging them to card duels to raise your rank. The main goal is to build your reputation and deck by winning duels, collecting new cards from packs and opponents, and occasionally taking written exams on card game rules. You manage your deck construction carefully between fights, and the pacing is methodical, often requiring grinding for better cards before tackling stronger rivals. It feels like actually attending a school where everything, even your social standing, is decided by the luck of the draw and how well you built your deck.
