Game Overview
Z-Out on the Amiga is that kind of shooter where everything wants to kill you—organic-looking alien swarms, weird floating things, you name it. It’s got that classic side-scrolling chaos like X-Out, but with its own quirks. Six levels of pure "dodge this, shoot that," and the power-ups? They’re around, but don’t expect them to bail you out constantly.
Here’s the twist: playing with a friend actually makes it harder. Most power-ups vanish in 2-player mode until level 3, and if one of you dies, no checkpoints—you both reset. It’s brutal, but weirdly fair in a "we suffer together" way. The single-player mode at least throws you a bone with restart points.
If you’re into Amiga shooters that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a solid pick. Just maybe warn your co-op partner first.
