Play Zero Tolerance (USA, Europe) Online
Explore a creepy space station, find keycards, unlock areas, and shoot aliens while managing your ammo in this first-person shooter for Sega Genesis.
Zero Tolerance came out for the Sega Genesis in 1994, developed by Technopop. It was one of the few first-person shooters on the system, trying to bring that kind of action to a console better known for platformers and arcade ports. The game had a sci-fi horror vibe, set on an overrun space station, and it stood out for its attempt at a more serious, exploration-heavy style.
You control one of several soldiers, each with different stats, moving room by room through the station's tight, maze-like layout. The main goal is to find keycards, unlock new areas, and eliminate the alien threat. Combat is straightforward; you aim and shoot with a limited arsenal, managing ammo carefully since supplies are scarce. The pace is slow and deliberate, with enemies often ambushing you from dark corners or vents. It feels tense and a little rough, but there's a certain gritty appeal to pushing through each claustrophobic hallway, never quite sure what's waiting ahead.
