Play Zork I - The Great Underground Empire Amiga Online
Text adventure game where players explore dungeons, solve puzzles, and manage inventory using typed commands. Features enhanced visuals on Amiga. Released in 1980.

Zork I came out on the Amiga in 1980, developed by Infocom. It was a text adventure, which meant you read descriptions and typed what you wanted to do. On the Amiga, it had some graphical enhancements, but the real experience was in the writing and the world it built.
You control an adventurer exploring the ruins of a vast underground empire. Your goal is to find the twenty treasures hidden in the caves and return them to a trophy case. You move room by room, solving puzzles with typed commands like "open window" or "attack thief with sword," and you have to carefully manage a limited inventory. The game is difficult, with many ways to die or get stuck, and the pacing is slow and thoughtful. It feels like exploring a real, dangerous place with only your wits to guide you.
