Play Act Raiser Online
You slash through monsters as a sword-wielding god, then switch to guiding tiny villagers as they rebuild towns between attacks—somehow both parts just click. That SNES soundtrack still hits, too.

Game Overview
Act Raiser is this weird, cool mix of side-scrolling action and city-building god sim—and somehow, it totally works. You play as this sleepy deity who wakes up to find the world in ruins, so you jump into an ancient statue to become a sword-swinging warrior and clear out monster-infested zones. After each level, you switch to this overhead view where you guide little villagers to rebuild towns, plant crops, and expand while fending off disasters.
At first, I thought the two halves wouldn’t mesh, but there’s something satisfying about carving out safe zones in the action stages, then watching your people actually settle there. The side-scrolling bits feel like a simpler Castlevania, and the sim part has just enough depth to feel rewarding without getting tedious. Also, the soundtrack slaps—Yuzo Koshiro went hard on those SNES synth orchestral tracks. If you like retro games that try something different, this one’s still a gem.
