Game Overview

Action Soccer is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow makes pixelated soccer way more chaotic and fun than it has any right to be. You pick a team with ridiculous names (The Dancing Dolphins? Sure, why not), choose between a classic top-down view or a slightly wobbly isometric angle, and then just... go nuts. No offside rules, no stamina meters—just pure, fast kicks and wild tackles.

The commentary from Jonathan Pearce is the real gem here. He’ll shout things like "WHAT A HOWITZER!" when you barely tap the ball, and it never gets old. You can tweak teams if you want, but honestly, half the fun is seeing what nonsense the game throws at you—rain suddenly making everyone slide around, or your defender accidentally booting the ball into your own net. It’s silly, it’s simple, and it’s weirdly addictive once you get into the rhythm.

If you’re looking for serious soccer sim, this ain’t it. But if you want something quick, loud, and full of dumb charm, Action Soccer still holds up.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
