Game Overview
Adventure Construction Set for the Amiga was one of those early DIY RPG tools that felt like magic at the time. You could build your own little fantasy worlds—drag-and-drop forests, castles, monsters—then actually play through them. The default adventure it came with was charmingly janky, but the real fun was cobbling together your own quests with whatever weird ideas you had. I remember spending hours placing goblins in illogical spots just to mess with friends.
The interface was clunky by today’s standards (this was the mid-80s, after all), but there was something satisfying about watching your half-baked dungeon come to life. If you ever made a "troll guarding an empty room next to a sword named Spoon," you weren’t alone. It’s a nostalgia trip now, but back then, it felt like having infinite D&D modules in a box.
