So, Akira on the Amiga—yeah, it’s exactly as chaotic as the movie. You start off tearing through Neo-Tokyo as Kaneda on his bike, dodging roadblocks, potholes, and random goons chucking bombs at you. The grenades? You get those by smashing into traffic cones, because of course that’s how it works. And if you run out of fuel mid-chase, well… game over.
After the bike sections, it shifts to this weirdly brutal platformer where you just punch and shoot your way through crowds to fill a kill meter. It’s janky, kinda unfair, and totally captures that anarchic vibe of the film. Not gonna lie, the controls take some getting used to, but once you’re in, it’s hard to put down. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
