So, Akira on the Amiga—yeah, it’s exactly as chaotic as the movie. You start off tearing through Neo-Tokyo as Kaneda on his bike, dodging roadblocks, leaping over gaps (ramps are your best friend), and trying not to get blown up by random goons chucking bombs at you. Oh, and you’re low on fuel the whole time, because of course you are. The only way to clear obstacles? Smash into traffic cones to grab grenades. It’s stressful, but in that good arcade-y way.
Then, just when you think you’ve got the hang of it, the game flips and dumps you into these side-scrolling brawler levels. Now you’re running around punching and shooting your way through crowds, filling up a meter with every enemy you take down. It’s a weird shift, but it keeps you on your toes. The whole thing feels like someone took the movie’s energy and crammed it into a game—messy, frantic, and kinda awesome.
