Game Overview

Alien 3 on GB is one of those Game Boy ports that somehow works better than it should. You play as Ripley, creeping through shadowy corridors with a pulse rifle that feels way too small for the horrors lurking around every corner. The Xenomorphs pop out of vents, drop from ceilings—it’s chaotic in the best way.

It’s not just mindless shooting, though. You’ve got to rescue prisoners (who, let’s be honest, usually end up as alien chow), and the limited ammo keeps you from going full Rambo. The black-and-white graphics actually add to the tension—you’ll swear you saw something move in the static. And yeah, it’s hard. Like, "throw your Game Boy across the room" hard. But when you finally clear a level, it feels like surviving the movie all over again.

If you’ve got a soft spot for ’90s handheld action or just love the franchise, this one’s a surprisingly solid way to get your Alien fix. Just don’t blame me when you start hearing motion tracker beeps in your sleep.
