Alien Breed II: The Horror Continues is basically Gauntlet but with way more aliens and way more panic. You pick one of four space marines (I always went with the heavy weapons guy) and fight through three massive towers crawling with creatures that absolutely do not want you there. The levels are packed with hidden rooms, locked doors, and terminals where you can spend credits on better guns—if you survive long enough to find them.
The atmosphere is thick with that classic Amiga mood—dark corridors, flickering lights, and enemies that pop out just as you think you're safe. And yeah, the keys are still a pain. You’ll find yourself backtracking because you missed one, or worse, wasting it on a room full of ammo when you really needed health. Play it solo if you hate yourself, or grab a friend for some chaotic co-op where you’ll probably shoot each other as much as the aliens.
It’s messy, tense, and exactly what you’d want from a sequel that doubles down on everything that made the first one great.
