Alien Breed: Tower Assault is one of those classic Amiga games that still holds up if you're into tense, top-down shooters. You're basically crawling through dark, claustrophobic corridors blasting aliens—think Aliens but with way more pixelated gore. The atmosphere is thick with that '90s sci-fi vibe, and the sound design? Pure nostalgia, from the creepy ambient hum to the squelchy death noises.
It starts simple—just you, a gun, and a maze of rooms—but then the swarms get bigger, the weapons weirder, and suddenly you're frantically backpedaling while lobbing grenades at some nightmare bug thing. The disk-swapping was a pain back in the day, but hey, that was part of the charm. Still one of the best co-op experiences on the Amiga, if you can find a buddy willing to die alongside you.
