ALIEN SQUAD is one of those old-school Flash games that makes you miss when pixel art actually had personality. You're stuck on a starship crawling with aliens, and they don't exactly want to chat. The controls are simple, arrow keys to move, Z to attack, but don't let that fool you. Those first few minutes feel chaotic as you figure out which weapons actually work against certain enemies (spoiler: the shotgun's way more satisfying than the pistol).
The badge system gives you something to chase besides survival, though good luck getting them all on your first try. The pixel art's got this grimy sci-fi vibe that makes the aliens look properly gross, and the difficulty spikes hard if you're not paying attention. I still remember getting wrecked by the first boss because I didn't realize you could switch weapons mid-fight. Classic Flash game jank, but the good kind.
