Play Alien Storm Online
Pick a hero, torch aliens with a flamethrower or drop bombs mid-teleport, then scramble to grab health before your energy drains. Absolute Genesis chaos—enemies even jump out of potted plants.

Alien Storm came out on the Sega Genesis in 1990, developed and published by Sega. It was one of those side-scrolling action games that felt right at home on the system, offering a sci-fi twist on the beat 'em up formula that was popular at the time.
You pick one of three characters, each with a unique main weapon like a flamethrower or an energy rifle, and fight through city streets and alien interiors. The main goal is to clear each screen of enemies before moving on, with some stages switching to a first-person perspective where you manually aim to shoot incoming threats. You have to manage a limited energy bar for your special attacks and constantly grab health pickups dropped by defeated foes. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially when enemies ambush you from unexpected places, like bursting out of decorative objects. It feels like a messy, energetic scramble from start to finish.
