Ant Bully on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2006, published by Midway. It was one of those many licensed games from that era, based on the animated film, and it fit right in with the platform's library of action-adventure titles aimed at younger players.
You control Lucas, a boy shrunk to ant size, navigating through backyards and house interiors that have become vast, dangerous landscapes. The main goal is to protect your new ant colony from threats, primarily the exterminator Stan Beals. You run, jump, and use a peashooter to fend off hostile insects like beetles and spiders. The game involves a lot of screen-by-screen exploration, collecting nectar to feed the colony, and solving simple environmental puzzles to progress. The pacing is fairly straightforward, and the difficulty is manageable, making it accessible. It feels like a compact, straightforward adventure where you see the world from a completely different perspective.
