1993 Amiga action game. Play as Sinbad Jr. in 9 levels with platforming, puzzles, and racing. Use items like blowtorches, ride magic carpets, and trade with NPCs to progress.
Arabian Nights on the Amiga is one of those games that immediately throws you into the action—you're Sinbad Jr., a gardener with a bad habit of spying on the princess. Of course, the one time you look up, a demon swoops in and kidnaps her. Naturally, you try to play the hero, but the palace guards aren’t having it, and boom—dungeon time.
The game’s got nine levels, and they mix things up pretty well. One minute you’re racing through caves in a mine cart, the next you’re floating on a magic carpet like some kind of discount Aladdin. There’s a weird charm to the bartering system too—give a random guy the right item, and he might hand you something useful (or just waste your time). Some levels make you think, like thawing frozen doors with a blowtorch or wrangling a snake to free a prisoner. It’s janky in that classic Amiga way, but there’s something oddly satisfying about it.
If you’re into retro platformers with a bit of variety, this one’s worth a look—just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
