Play Archer Maclean's 3D Pool Online
You line up shots with actual depth on the GBA screen—that satisfying thunk when you nail a long pot makes up for the occasional physics quirk. Career mode starts chill, then has you sweating over tricky banks as the AI turns up the heat.

Archer Maclean's 3D Pool came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Awesome Developments. It was one of the few pool sims on the handheld at the time, and it stood out for trying to bring a solid cue sports experience to a small screen. The GBA was full of platformers and RPGs, so a straightforward pool game felt like a nice change of pace, something you could pick up between bigger adventures.
You control the cue stick, aiming and setting power for each shot across several game modes like 8-ball, 9-ball, and snooker. The main goal is simply to clear the table or outscore your opponent, depending on the rules. Key mechanics include a behind the ball perspective that gives a real sense of depth, a power meter for shot strength, and spin control to influence the cue ball after contact. The career mode starts easy but gradually introduces tougher opponents and more complex table layouts that demand precise positioning. It feels satisfying to sink a difficult shot, especially when you have to think two or three moves ahead.
