Arcus Odyssey came out for the Sega Genesis in 1991, developed by Wolf Team. It was part of that wave of early 90s action RPGs that tried to blend fast combat with exploration, standing alongside titles like Golden Axe but with a stronger focus on dungeon crawling and character progression.

You control one of four heroes, each with a distinct weapon, and battle through screen after screen of monsters in a quest to defeat an evil sorcerer. Progression is room by room, and the difficulty can be punishing, especially in later stages where enemy numbers spike. It feels methodical and tense, rewarding careful movement and quick attacks.
