Man, Asterix and the Great Rescue should’ve been a blast—classic Sega Genesis platforming with our favorite Gauls, right? But nope. The stages are brutal, not in a fun-challenge way, but in a "why is the timer so short?" way. And poor Obelix—half the time he’s just dead weight, which feels wrong for the strongest guy in the village.
Worst part? The hit detection. You’ll swing at a Roman and whiff completely, or get smacked by an attack that clearly missed. It’s frustrating enough to make you want to chuck your controller. Stick to the SNES Asterix games instead—this one’s a letdown.
