So you're B.O.B., this little ant-shaped robot who just wanted to take his crush out for a date. Classic teen move, right? But then you had to go and "borrow" your dad's hovercar—and of course, you immediately wreck it on some weird alien planet. Now you're stuck dodging bouncing eyeballs, floating brains, and other bizarre creatures while trying to scavenge parts for a new ride.
The controls take a minute to get used to—you've got this weird arm cannon that shoots everything from homing missiles to bouncing balls—but once you get the hang of it, blasting through the neon-colored levels feels surprisingly smooth. Some of the enemies are just... unsettling in that early '90s way, like walking teeth or these creepy floating hands. And good luck figuring out half the power-ups without trial and error—I still don't know what half of them actually do.
It's one of those games where you'll die a lot at first, but the checkpoints are merciful, and the soundtrack has this weirdly catchy techno vibe that keeps you pushing forward. Just don't expect your date to still be waiting by the time you make it back.
