B-Wings is one of those old-school arcade shooters that somehow still feels intense decades later. You pilot this beefy little ship with these weird wing attachments—they actually change shape when you power up, which I always thought was cool. The first few levels ease you in, but before long, you're dodging bullet sprays from enemy formations while trying to line up your own shots.
What I like is how the power-ups work—you collect these floating modules that upgrade your wings, turning them into these massive cannons or spread shots. Mess up and lose a life, though, and you're back to basics. The music’s got that classic arcade urgency, and some of the later stages get seriously chaotic. If you’re into retro shooters, this one’s got that perfect mix of simplicity and "just one more try" frustration.
