Play Baby Boomer Online
Baby escapes crib, you protect him with a Zapper—shoot everything (even harmless stuff might help). NES chaos ensues.

Baby Boomer came out in 1989 for the NES, published by Color Dreams. It was one of those late-era games that tried to do something a little different with the hardware, specifically by requiring the NES Zapper light gun. You don't see many games built entirely around that peripheral, so it always stood out, for better or worse.
You control a dot reticle on the screen, trying to protect a baby who has escaped his crib and is crawling through a house full of hazards. Your main objective is to shoot anything that moves, from bouncing balls and toy robots to flying bottles and even the family pets, before they can reach and harm the baby. The game progresses screen by screen, each a single room with its own set of attacking objects. The pacing is frantic, almost chaotic, because threats come from all directions and the baby never stops moving. It feels like a desperate, slightly absurd babysitting session where your only tool is a laser-accurate trigger finger.
