Back to Stone came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, published by Graffiti Entertainment and developed by Neko Entertainment. It was part of that late wave of GBA titles, arriving just as the DS was gaining momentum, so it felt like a solid, traditional adventure made for players who still loved the handheld.

You control a young hero exploring a vast, interconnected world filled with hostile creatures and hidden caves. Your main goal is to gather ancient stones scattered across the land, which involves navigating screen by screen, battling enemies with a simple sword, and solving environmental puzzles to access new areas. The pacing is deliberate, with a fair amount of backtracking and resource gathering, and the difficulty can feel uneven at times, especially during some of the more cramped combat encounters. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes clunky but earnest attempt at an action-adventure game.
