Back to Stone came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, a time when the handheld was still getting interesting, smaller-scale RPGs. I don't remember the developer offhand, but it was one of those games that felt perfectly suited for quick sessions, a solid pick if you were looking for something beyond the usual platformers.
You control a young tribesman trying to help your clan survive. The main goal is to explore the land, gathering food and materials while fending off wild animals with a simple spear. You'll venture into caves for rare resources, craft better tools at your camp, and slowly build up your settlement. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical; it's not a fast game, and managing your stamina while exploring adds a constant layer of tension. It feels like a quiet, personal struggle against a harsh world.
