Backfire! is this old-school arcade racer where you pick either the Farco R4 Cup or Andula 2.0—I always go for the Farco, feels a little zippier—and tear through six increasingly brutal tracks. The first couple races ease you in, but by stage three, you're white-knuckling through water channels and ice patches that send your car fishtailing if you don't time your turns just right.
You’ve got to hit those checkpoints to keep the clock from running out, and the arrow markers are lifesavers when the road starts twisting. That last expert-level track? Pure chaos—huge humps launch you airborne while the timer ticks down. It’s the kind of game where you’ll restart a race five times just to shave off half a second. Winning the Grand Champion title feels like an actual achievement.
