Bang Bead came out in arcades in 2000 from Visco Corporation, a time when fighting games and shooters still ruled the cabinets. It was a two player game that felt like a mix of air hockey and Breakout, but with a much faster and more aggressive style.
You control a paddle at the bottom of the screen, trying to knock a ball into your opponent's goal. The main objective is to break all the stars on the barrier in the middle of the screen to open a path to their goal. You can put spin on the ball to curve your shots, and you must constantly dive to make desperate saves. The pacing is incredibly fast, with the momentum shifting after just one good shot. It feels like a tense, physical duel where every hit matters.
