Game Overview
Banjo-Tooie is one of those sequels that actually makes everything bigger—sometimes to the point where you’ll wander around wondering where the heck you’re supposed to go next. But that’s part of the charm. The worlds are massive, packed with weird little secrets and even weirder characters (like that one dinosaur who’s obsessed with eggs).
It’s still classic Banjo-Kazooie—jumping, pecking, rolling into a ball—but now you’ve got split-up pads, new transformations, and a bunch of moves that take some getting used to. The first time I tried the underwater controls, I just spun in circles for a solid minute. You’ll get the hang of it, though.
If you liked the first game, this one cranks up the chaos in the best way. Just don’t be surprised if you spend half an hour lost in Grunty Industries before realizing you missed a tiny switch somewhere.
