Baraduke came out in 1985 as an arcade game from Namco. It was part of that wave of side-scrolling shooters, but it had a slower, more methodical pace than a lot of the frantic space games at the time. You control a character in a bulky environmental suit, navigating maze-like corridors. The main objective is to clear each area of enemies and find the exit, which often requires careful exploration. Your primary weapon is a laser gun, but you also have a limited-use bomb that clears the entire screen. The pacing is deliberate; you have to watch corners and manage enemy spawns, as foes pour out of hatches in the walls and floor.
