Game Overview
Baseball Stars 2 on NES is that rare sequel that tightens up the gameplay but loses a few quirks along the way. Yeah, it's smoother than the first one—hitting and fielding just feel better—but they cut some fun stuff like renaming players (RIP "Babe Ruthless") and the all-female teams. Still, you get to build your own squad from scratch, hire/fire players, and grind through a full league season. There are 12 premade teams (some with ridiculous 90s haircuts) and six slots for your custom creations. Only four stadiums this time, but they each have their own weird little quirks—one has this obnoxiously short left field wall that turns every game into a home run derby.
