Download Battle Isle_Disk2 ROM – Amiga Game
Turn-based strategy game with hex-based combat. Features 32 missions (16 single-player, 16 multiplayer), unit upgrades, and terrain tactics. Released in 1991 for Amiga.
Battle Isle is one of those classic Amiga strategy games that still holds up. You’re leading the Drull armies against Skynet-Titan’s rogue AI forces on the planet Chromos—basically, it’s hex-based warfare with a sci-fi twist. The maps are split down the middle, so while you’re moving your tanks or infantry, the other side (AI or a friend) is plotting their counterattack. Terrain actually matters here—some units move faster through forests, others get wrecked in swamps.
What I like is how units level up after winning fights. That first time your rookie tank squad survives a brutal skirmish and suddenly hits harder next round? Feels good. There are 16 single-player missions, plus another 16 for head-to-head if you’ve got a buddy who’s into slow-burn tactical showdowns. Just don’t expect flashy animations—this is pure, methodical strategy where positioning wins wars.
