Game Overview
Beast Busters on the Amiga is basically what happens when Operation Wolf gets a zombie makeover. You pick between Johnny Justice or Sammy Stately (sorry, Paul Patriot fans—he’s arcade-only) and start blasting through waves of undead. The machine gun feels satisfyingly chunky, but you’ll quickly learn to save grenades for when things get stupidly crowded—especially the electro grenades, which are weirdly fun to watch fry everything on screen.
It’s not subtle: zombies explode into pixelated gore, knives come flying at you (yes, you can shoot them mid-air if you’re fast), and bosses include things like a mutant punk-dog hybrid. The pseudo-3D scrolling keeps things disorienting in the best way, and the between-level story bits have that classic ’90s B-movie charm. Just don’t expect to survive long on your first try—this game throws enemies at you like confetti.
