Game Overview

Beast Busters: Disk 2 came out on the Amiga in 1989, a release from SNK and Activision. It was part of that wave of arcade-style shooters that tried to bring the cabinet experience home, fitting right in with the platform's library of action games from that period.

You control one of two characters, Johnny Justice or Sammy Stately, moving through haunted streets and buildings. Your main goal is to survive each stage by clearing out the endless waves of zombies and mutants. The game uses a rail-shooting mechanic; your character moves automatically, and you aim a crosshair to fire your machine gun or throw grenades. You can collect different weapon types, like shotguns or flamethrowers, to handle tougher enemies and the occasional screen-filling boss. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is high, demanding quick reflexes and good aim. It feels like a constant, frantic fight for survival against an overwhelming tide of monsters.
