Best of Best is one of those old-school arcade fighters where you pick a character and just go at it—no fancy combos, just straightforward punches, kicks, and special moves. There’s something oddly satisfying about the simplicity of it. You’ve got eight fighters to choose from, like Abdul the wrestler, Scott (who looks like he walked straight out of an 80s action movie), and Alli with that iconic turban. Each one feels different enough to make replays interesting.
Matches are best of three, and you can switch fighters after every round, which keeps things from getting stale. The AI isn’t brutal, but it’s not a pushover either—you’ll actually have to time your moves. And yeah, grabbing a friend for some couch versus mode is where it really shines.
