Beverly Hills Cop on the Amiga is one of those licensed games that somehow works despite the odds. You play as Axel Foley, running around dodging bad guys and solving crimes, just like the movies. The controls take a second to get used to—especially the way Axel slides when you stop running—but once you adjust, it’s weirdly satisfying.
The soundtrack nails that 80s cop vibe, and the pixel art actually makes Beverly Hills look kind of glamorous (or at least as glamorous as an Amiga could manage). Some of the levels drag a little, but the shootouts and car chases keep things moving. Definitely a nostalgia trip if you grew up with the films.
