Beverly Hills Cop on the Amiga is one of those licensed games that somehow manages to be both frustrating and weirdly charming. You play as Axel Foley, running around dodging bad guys and solving crimes—or at least trying to. The controls are a little stiff, but the soundtrack nails that Eddie Murphy movie vibe. It’s not the deepest game, but if you grew up with the films, there’s something fun about punching your way through pixelated thugs in pastel suits.
Fair warning: the difficulty spikes hard after the first few levels. I still haven’t beaten it without cheating.
