Play The Beverly Hillbillies Online

You control the Clampetts in their ridiculous mansion—click on everything, solve bizarre puzzles, and try not to get creeped out by pixel-art Granny. It’s that kind of adventure game where milking a rocking chair somehow makes sense.

Game Overview

I remember playing The Beverly Hillbillies on MS-DOS back in 1993. It was published by Capstone Software, and it fit right in with the point-and-click adventures of the era, like a lot of the Sierra and LucasArts games, but with a goofier, sitcom vibe. You didn't need a powerful rig for it; it was just one of those titles you'd pop in after school.

You control the whole Clampett family, switching between Jed, Granny, Jethro, and Elly May to solve puzzles around their mansion and the surrounding Beverly Hills area. The main goal is to find a missing deed to the property. You explore screen by screen, picking up utterly nonsensical items (like a possum or a varmint) and using them in unexpected ways, often through a verb-based interaction menu. The puzzles are notoriously illogical, even for the genre; you might find yourself trying to milk a rocking chair or using a pig to trigger an event. The pacing is slow, and the difficulty spikes can be frustrating without a guide. It feels like wrestling with a cartoon that refuses to follow its own rules.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
