Play Dawgfight - When Hillbillies Fly! Online
Pick a hillbilly, buckle into a duct-tape glider, and try not to faceplant into a barn while flinging chickens at your friends. Physics barely applies here, and that’s the point.
Dawgfight - When Hillbillies Fly! was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it didn't carry a specific release number in that series. The game came out during the era when local multiplayer and goofy physics-based competition were starting to find a real audience on home computers. It had that particular early '90s charm, built more for laughs than for serious competition.
You control one of several backwoods characters, each strapped into a rickety, homemade flying contraption. The main goal is to knock other players out of the sky by launching projectiles, often chickens, while navigating a side-view arena full of obstacles like barns, windmills, and trees. The flight mechanics are intentionally unwieldy; you have to manage thrust and angle carefully to avoid stalling or crashing. Matches are fast and chaotic, with the difficulty coming less from complex controls and more from predicting the erratic movement of both opponents and your own glider. It feels silly and unpredictable in a way that makes every round a new comedy of errors.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
