Game Overview

Billiards II Simulator on the Amiga is one of those games that makes you feel like you’re actually leaning over a real table—minus the sticky bar floor. You’ve got French billiards if you’re into careful, tactical shots, American pool for when you just want to slam balls around, and even this weird fantasy mode that throws in some wild rules I still don’t fully understand.

The 3D perspective is surprisingly decent for its time, and the physics actually behave like you’d expect (mostly). There’s a tutorial, but honestly, I just jumped straight into playing against the AI—which starts off laughably bad but gets scary good at the higher levels. You can bet fake money, which adds just enough tension to make you second-guess that risky bank shot.

It’s one of those games where you tell yourself “just one more round” and suddenly it’s 2 AM. The ball spin and angles actually matter here, which is either frustrating or satisfying depending on how your last shot went.
