Play Fighting Simulator Online
You mash two buttons to throw janky punches, laughing when the AI keeps spamming the same dumb move until you finally counter it. That pixelated uppercut never gets old.

Fighting Simulator came out for the original Game Boy, a simple one-on-one brawler that fit right in with the handheld's library of straightforward action games. I don't remember who made it, but it was one of those cartridges you'd get in a bargain bin, the kind with a badly photocopied manual. It was just two fighters on a single screen, no frills, no story.
You control a generic martial artist, moving left and right to close the distance with your opponent. The main goal is to deplete the other fighter's health bar using a limited moveset; you have one button for a quick, weak punch and another for a slower, more powerful uppercut. The AI tends to rely on a single, predictable attack pattern, which you learn to punish by timing your own strikes between its animations. Matches are short and the difficulty is inconsistent, sometimes feeling too easy and other times unfairly cheap. It feels like a quick, mindless distraction, something to kill five minutes while waiting for the bus.
