Bio-Hazard Battle came out for the Sega Genesis in 1992, developed and published by Sega. You pilot a small biological fighter through a series of infested, screen-by-screen stages, clearing each area of enemies before moving forward. Your ship can collect and switch between four distinct weapon types, each useful against specific enemy types or environmental obstacles. The levels themselves are often hazardous, with pulsating walls and acidic pools that damage you on contact. The pacing is deliberate, more about careful navigation and target priority than frantic dodging, though the difficulty ramps up considerably in later stages.
