Blandia’s got this weirdly specific charm—like someone took a medieval fantasy novel and smashed it into a fighting game. You pick one of six warriors (Gurianos and his crew) to stop some demon lord’s comeback tour, which sounds epic until you realize half the strategy is just whacking people’s armor off piece by piece. High, mid, or low strikes actually matter here—land enough hits in the same spot, and suddenly your opponent’s flashing more skin than a budget cosplay.
Matches drag on for five minutes unless someone gets KO’d, so it’s less about frantic combos and more like a brutal game of whack-a-mole with swords. Single-player lets you pick your path to the Golden Castle, which is nice because the AI’s idea of a "fair fight" is sending the tankiest knight at you first. Two-player mode’s where it shines, though—nothing like watching your friend panic as their helmet goes flying across Eurasia.
It’s janky, unbalanced, and the lore makes zero sense. But damn if it isn’t fun to suplex a wizard in full plate mail.
