You control one of four fantasy-themed warriors, moving from left to right to clear each screen of enemies before progressing. Your main objective is to fight through a linear path of medieval and magical environments, defeating a boss at the end of each stage. The combat relies on a simple but effective two-button system for attacking and jumping; you can also execute a screen-clearing special move at the cost of some health. The pacing is methodical, and the difficulty is unrelenting, demanding precise timing to survive enemy swarms.
