Game Overview
Blast Corps is one of those weird, brilliant N64 games that shouldn’t work but totally does. You’re basically a demolition crew for a runaway missile carrier—if it crashes, boom, nuclear disaster. So you’ve got to smash everything in its path with bulldozers, dump trucks, even a mech that punches buildings into rubble. Sounds simple, but the physics are just janky enough to keep you on your toes.
At first, you’ll plow through houses like they’re made of cardboard, but later levels get sneaky. Some obstacles need specific vehicles, and timing matters—that missile carrier won’t wait around. The backhoe controls like a drunk elephant, but somehow that’s part of the charm. And when you finally clear a path with seconds to spare? Pure relief.
It’s chaotic, a little stressful, and oddly satisfying when everything clicks. One of Rare’s hidden gems.
