Play Blast Corps (V1.1) Online
Clear paths and demolish obstacles with a team of vehicles to stop a runaway nuclear missile carrier in Blast Corps on Nintendo 64.
Blast Corps came out in 1997 for the Nintendo 64, developed by Rare. It was one of those games that felt different from everything else on the system, a puzzle action hybrid that didn't rely on big names or familiar genres. At a time when 3D platformers and racing games dominated, this stood out for its strange, urgent premise.
You control a team of demolition vehicles, from a standard bulldozer to a transforming robot, with the goal of clearing a path for a runaway nuclear missile carrier. Each vehicle handles differently; the dump truck requires power slides to build momentum, while the mech can punch through buildings with precise timing. Levels are short and intense, often demanding quick route planning and efficient destruction under a strict time limit. The game starts simple but quickly escalates into complex obstacle courses that test both speed and accuracy. It feels satisfying to watch a city block collapse just in time, the physics and feedback making every crash count.
