Blastar on the Amiga is one of those shooters where space feels huge—400 screens worth, with aliens swarming at you from every angle. The scanner helps, but good luck keeping track of everything when your ship drifts like it’s on ice. You’ll overshoot turns, bump into enemies, and probably curse a little before getting the hang of it.
What’s wild is how much they crammed into this thing—animated starfields, a pounding techno soundtrack, and sprites that actually look good for an OCS game. Just don’t expect mercy: three lives, no brakes, and aliens that don’t care if you’re still figuring out the controls. It’s chaotic in the best way.
