Blastar_Disk2 on the Amiga is one of those space shooters where you're constantly spinning your ship around, trying to keep up with aliens swarming from every direction. The inertia makes it tricky—your ship drifts like it's on ice, so you've gotta plan your moves ahead or you'll crash into some weird space jellyfish thing.
The scanner helps, but half the time I'm just panicking and firing wildly while the techno soundtrack pumps in the background. There's something satisfying about how chunky the explosions look, and the animated starfields make it feel like you're actually hauling through deep space. Just don't get too distracted by the visuals—those three lives disappear faster than you'd think.
For an OCS game, it's impressive how much they crammed in here. Twelve levels, a ton of screens to blast through, and way more audio than most games this size bothered with back then.
