BloodNet is this weird, moody cyberpunk RPG from the Amiga days that somehow blends vampires with hacking. You play as a guy who gets turned into a vampire—but instead of brooding in a castle, you're stuck navigating a neon-drenched dystopia full of shady netrunners and corporate ghouls. The gothic-meets-tech aesthetic is bizarre but weirdly compelling, like someone mashed together Blade Runner and Dracula.
Gameplay’s a mix of turn-based combat and point-and-click adventure, with a heavy dose of cyberpunk jargon. At first, the interface feels clunky (it’s an Amiga game, after all), but once you get the hang of jacking into cyberspace or draining blood from unsuspecting victims, it clicks. The writing’s surprisingly sharp, too—dark humor and all. Just don’t expect modern polish.
If you’re into retro games with a weird edge, this one’s a cult classic for a reason.
