Game Overview
Body Harvest is one of those weird, ambitious N64 games that never quite got the love it deserved. You play as Adam Drake, a genetically enhanced soldier hopping through time to stop aliens from wiping out humanity during different historical periods—Greece in WWII, 90s Siberia, and more. It’s like someone mashed up Grand Theft Auto with a sci-fi B-movie, and honestly? It works.
The real fun comes from the vehicles. You’ll steal tanks, fly planes, even pilot a spaceship at one point—each handles differently, and some are absolute death traps (looking at you, rickety biplane). On foot, combat feels clunky, but hopping into a jeep with a mounted machine gun turns the game into a chaotic joyride. Just don’t run over too many civilians, or the game straight-up ends. Oops.
Missions usually boil down to blowing up alien generators or taking down bosses, but the open-ended approach keeps things interesting. Need fuel? Raid a barn. Outgunned? Hijack a helicopter. It’s janky, unpredictable, and oddly satisfying once you get the hang of it. If you can forgive the N64-era roughness, there’s a cult classic hiding here.
