Body Harvest came out on the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed by DMA Design, the studio that would later become Rockstar North. It was one of those ambitious, open-world action games that felt a little ahead of its time on the N64, offering large environments to explore when many games were still built around smaller, more constrained levels.

You play as Adam, a soldier sent back through time to stop an alien invasion from harvesting humans across different eras. The goal is to protect groups of civilians in each time period by taking out alien harvesters before they complete their gruesome work. You drive, fly, or operate a wide range of vehicles, from jeeps and tanks to propeller planes and even a UFO, using their weapons to blast waves of aliens. The game is structured around large, open maps where you hunt for key targets, gather weapons, and often improvise with whatever vehicle you can commandeer. It can be challenging, with some unforgiving enemy swarms and loose controls, but there's a real thrill in hijacking an alien craft mid-battle and turning its firepower back on the invaders. The freedom to approach objectives with different tools gives the action a scrappy, unpredictable feel.
